HAGÅTÑA, GUAM - The Guam Chamber of Commerce announced that Mr. John Benavente, General Manager of Guam Power Authority, will speak at the Chamber General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Mr. Benavente will update the business community on the new Harmon power plant and possible business opportunities associated with its development. The meeting will take place at the Micronesian Room, Hilton Guam Resort & Spa. Doors open at 11:15 a.m.
Additionally, the meeting will kick off the 2019 Toys for Tots campaign. Members and guests are asked to bring a new and unwrapped toy or gift item to the meeting. This annual toy collection program provides a toy or gift item to a child (ages 0 - 17) in need at Christmas. Toy collection officially begins on October 1st and wraps up on December 13th. The Chamber is pleased to partner with Marine Corps Activity Guam on this most worthy program. Companies interested in participating as a drop off site for toys are encouraged to contact the Chamber office for details.
RSVPs are required and must be received via email at info@GuamChamber.com.gu by 12:00 p.m. on September 24th. Attendance for each event is $25 for Chamber members. Seating is limited and reservations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
