HAGÅTÑA, GUAM - The Guam Chamber of Commerce together with the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce a Business Bankruptcy Basics seminar scheduled for Thursday, September 26th. The event will feature Mr. Curtis Ching, Assistant U.S. Trustee and Mr. Neil Verbrugge, Partner in a Honolulu business bankruptcy law firm as guest speakers.
This seminar will provide an overview of different types of bankruptcy filings (Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Chapter 11) as well as alternatives to bankruptcy filings. There will be a focus on how bankruptcy reorganizations work both from the debtor perspective and the creditor perspective. Speakers will provide examples of actual case filings by various businesses. The presenters will also discuss the newly enacted Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019. The meeting will take place at the Unnai Room, The Westin Resort. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
RSVPs are required and must be received via email at info@GuamChamber.com.gu by 12:00 p.m. on September 25th. Attendance for each event is $25 for Chamber members and $40 for Future members. Seating is limited and reservations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
