The Hilton Guam Holiday Train Returns

November 30, 2012

Christmas magic comes alive in the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa’s main lobby, with the return of the hotel’s Holiday Express Train. The train launch is scheduled for Thursday, November 29 at 6pm. The train will be on display through early January. As part of a longstanding tradition, the Hilton has always selected a local charity to benefit from the train sponsorship. This year, the hotel has selected Autism Community Together. ACT, a local non-profit organization, provides support for families that have children with Autism.

“We are excited to bring back the traditional Christmas train that Hilton Guam has had for almost 20 years,” says Makoto Yasuhara, General Manager. This year, the train returns to its original display, depicting railroad settings of the German, Austrian and Swiss Alps. The event is made especially for children, as they will be given train whistles to take part in the launching of the Holiday Train. The blowing of the whistles will signal Hilton’s Christmas lights and décor to magically illuminate and the electric cars to begin their routes in the display. During the launch, guest will enjoy entertainment by the Girl Scouts of Guam and members of the Guam Territorial Band. There will be a special appearance by Santa Claus.
