Guam Auto Spot acquires Buick-GMC
Youngest dealership expanding industry footprint with powerhouse GM lines

May 20, 2015

Hagatna, Guam. May 20, 2015 – In just seven short years, Monster Auto Corporation doing business as Guam Auto Spot has gone from being an operation with just five vehicles on consignment to becoming a major player in Guam's automobile industry with the recent acquisition of two major car brands.

On April 18, 2015, the company entered into a Dealership Agreement with General Motors and were appointed the Buick-GMC dealer for Guam, a multi-million dollar investment that signals the young upstart has arrived.

"This is the culmination of a two-year journey of hard work, determination, many negotiations, and a lot of blessings," said enthusiastically by CEO Derrick Muna-Quinata. "General Motors is a powerhouse and we are blessed and honored to be representing their impressive line of cars."

According to Muna-Quinata, although the new brands greatly enhance the company's portfolio, its mission remains the same.

"Our goal from our inception was to offer quality products and the best customer service, even after the sale. We are from here, live here and raise our families here so it's important that we develop and maintain relationships with our customers, not just sell cars. Your trust in us is more important than your business."

Auto Spot has continued to experience exponential growth since they first opened their doors in 2008, reporting approximately $15M in gross sales at the end of 2014 and believe that the newly acquired Buick-GMC line will certainly allow them to increase market share amongst Guam's tight buying audience.

"We're so excited to unveil the new line of Buicks which we believe will rival some of the luxury cars we currently see on Guam's roads and we are definitely excited over GMC's Canyon and Sierra. These trucks are tough and rugged enough for the farm but sleek and refined to take the family to dinner. I think the Sierra and Canyon are going to take over as Guam's favorite trucks."
