First Hawaiian Bank Promotes Peter Valdez And Penny Fernandez

(Hagåtña, Guam, April 15, 2015) – First Hawaiian Bank Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Harrison today announced the promotion of the following bank officers to vice president:

Peter Valdez has been promoted from vice president and business banking officer to vice president and team leader, Maite Banking Center. Valdez oversees a team of business bankers to grow the bank’s commercial lending portfolio on Guam. He has over 20 years of banking industry experience and joined First Hawaiian in 2001 as a business banking officer.

Penny Fernandez has been promoted from assistant vice president, Merchant Services Department to vice president and merchant supervisor, Guam and CNMI Region. Fernandez is responsible for merchant services, processing of merchant applications, program terminals, installation of terminals and providing customer support to merchants on Guam and Saipan. She has over 25 years of banking industry experience and joined First Hawaiian in 1998 as a merchant services representative.
