Chamber Sponsors Small Business Sales Opportunities Seminar


HAGÅTÑA, GUAM – The Guam Chamber of Commerce announced today that its Small Business Focus & Development Committee is sponsoring a Growing Sales Opportunities with Business Partners Seminar featuring Guam industry leaders on August 31, 2010. The event is a special feature of the Chamber’s 6th Annual Small Business Expo & Mixer and will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Guam in Tumon.

While many large companies in Guam are keen to partner with small businesses, a suitable match is not always easy. At this seminar, a selection of Guam's leading companies to include Chugach World Services Inc., dck pacific guam, LLC, Jones and Guerrero Company Incorporated, and Hyatt Regency Guam, will explain to you directly what they are seeking from their small business partners. The panel will be moderated and there will be ample time for Q & A. Small Businesses cannot afford to miss out on this special event with the opportunity to grow their sales by solidifying partnerships with leading companies on Guam.

Admission fee for the August 31st seminar is $10.00 for Chamber members and $20 for non-Chamber members. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Carabaos on Vacation Essay Contest winners


HAGÅTÑA – The Guam Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners of the 2008 Carabaos on Vacation Essay Contest.

Carabaos on Vacation is an island-wide campaign celebrating culture and color, introduced by the Guam Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee. Guam businesses purchased albino fiberglass carabaos, painted and decorated them, and placed them at various locations around the island. Students in all grade levels were invited to participate in the Carabaos on Vacation Essay Contest in 2008 for a chance to win cash prizes. Each essay featured the student’s favorite Carabao on Vacation.
